What should I know before calling an automotive locksmith?
Have the vehicle location or ZIP code, the year, make and model, what happened to the key or fob, and whether any working key remains. Proof of identity and vehicle ownership or written authorization is required before key origination or programming. Call or text (703) 855-4041.

Information collected
When you submit a service request this site collects your name, mobile or landline phone number, optional email address, the location or ZIP code of the vehicle, the vehicle year, make and model, the service requested, whether a working key remains, and any details you add. For business requests it also collects the organization name, an authorized contact and the service locations.
The site records the page the request came from, the page you first arrived on, and any campaign parameters in the link you followed. It records your IP address with the submission as an anti-abuse measure and as a record of consent. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them.
How it is used
To review the request, confirm whether the vehicle and service are compatible, contact you about availability and applicable pricing, and keep normal business records. It is not used to build profiles and it is not used for advertising.
Text messages
If you tick the consent box on a form, you are agreeing to receive text messages from Alarm Command about my service request, technician arrival and status updates, and replies to messages I send. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help at any time. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving service — you can request a locksmith without agreeing to text messages.
No mobile information will be sold, shared, rented, released, or traded with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing purposes.
Full messaging terms, including how to opt out and how opt-outs are honored, are set out in the SMS Terms.
Sharing
Information is shared only with the service providers needed to operate this site and respond to requests — the website host, the email provider that delivers the request, and the messaging provider that sends any text message you have agreed to receive. Those providers act on Alarm Command’s instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it.
Your information is never sold. It is never rented or traded. It is never provided to a lead broker.
How long it is kept
Stored service requests are deleted automatically after 365 days. Records of text-message consent and of opt-out requests are kept separately and for longer, because Virginia law requires an opt-out request to be honored for at least ten years. Those records hold the phone number, the date, and the exact wording that was agreed to — nothing else.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of what is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing [email protected].

Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Submitted requests are stored in the site’s own database, readable only by administrators of this website, and are removed on the schedule above.
Children
This site is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
