Service depends on written authorisation from the titling organisation, on whether the fleet standardises key types across its vehicles, and on whether spares already exist. A fleet with a spare programme rarely needs an all-keys-lost origination; a fleet without one needs them repeatedly.

Have: written authorisation from the organisation that titles the vehicles; a vehicle list with year, make, model and vin where possible; which vehicles currently have spares and which do not; a single point of contact who can approve work. Proof of identity and vehicle ownership or written authorisation is required before any key is originated or programmed.

Fleet work differs from consumer work in authorisation and in scale. Vehicles are usually titled to an organisation rather than the person standing beside them, keys are issued and returned rather than owned, and the cost of a vehicle being off the road is measured per hour rather than per job.

It is offered as mobile service across Hampton Roads, Tidewater, the Peninsula, Western Tidewater, the regional airports and Virginia's Eastern Shore. Whether a specific vehicle is eligible is confirmed before a job is treated as scheduled.

For eligible jobs, mobile service can be coordinated at many accessible locations when the owner or authorized party can approve service and site rules allow access.
