Fleet Spare Key & Fob Program

What a programme costs depends on the key types across the fleet and how many vehicles currently have only one key. A mixed fleet of proximity and blade keys needs different parts per vehicle; a standardised fleet is cheaper per unit.

Have: a vehicle list with year, make, model and current key count; written authorisation from the titling organisation; where the vehicles can be gathered, or whether they must be visited; how spares will be stored and who controls access. Proof of identity and vehicle ownership or written authorisation is required before any key is originated or programmed.

A spare key programme is preventative rather than reactive. Spares are cut and programmed for the fleet while working keys still exist, labelled to the vehicle, and held by the organisation — so a lost key becomes a cupboard visit rather than an all-keys-lost origination and a vehicle off the road.

It is offered as mobile service across Hampton Roads, Tidewater, the Peninsula, Western Tidewater, the regional airports and Virginia's Eastern Shore. Whether a specific vehicle is eligible is confirmed before a job is treated as scheduled.

For eligible jobs, mobile service can be coordinated at many accessible locations when the owner or authorized party can approve service and site rules allow access.
